About Brave:
Brave Like You Brave Like Me, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, was founded by pediatric cancer mama, Christina Lakey, who desired a simple way for her and her family to connect with other local pediatric cancer families and resources when they found her daughter diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in October 2022. GET INVOLVED!
Your donation, big or small, will be used to support local pediatric cancer families! We accept:
1) MONETARY DONATIONS
2) IN-KIND DONATIONS OF GOODS OR SERVICES: books, fidgets, craft supplies, gas cards, meal cards, vouchers, etc.
Your donations currently support monthly family meetups, caregiver wellness events, and support items for families at clinic/hospital. We also have some wonderful new projects in the works including our BRAVE JOURNAL.
We love volunteers and know that you will have an amazing experience by joining us! There are opportunities to:
1) ATTEND REGULAR MEETUPS: supervise kiddos - basically you get to do art and play games!
2) VOLUNTEER AT AN EVENT: fundraisers, service events, etc.
3) PROVIDE A WELLNESS SERVICE: yoga, sound bath, breathwork, self-care, coaching, etc.
Hello families! We are here for you and ready to serve you in whatever capacity you need to help you with your emotional wellness.
We can also connect you to other resources that may assist you in different aspects.
